Plucker Webservice

This page allows you to create Plucker Documents for Palm from a given Website. It provides a simple interface to the Python distiller delivered with Plucker.

This interface handles a single URL only (no recursion). If you need this feature you need to run your own distiller.

Usage Conditions: This service is for personal use only. Do not make any automatic queries to it! Each access is logged. I keep the right to disable or block access to the service whenever I feel so. In general: be nice!

You use the following bookmarklet to quickly access the service: Pluck it!. Just drag the link to your bookmark toolbar. Alternatively you can also send the cookies with the request: Pluck with Cookie!.

Run Plucker

General Options Start URL This is the page to convert to the Plucker format. Only this page will be added, no links will be followed. Document Title Sets the title of the document to string. This is different from the name of the document in that it may be relatively long. Document Name Specifies the short name by which the document will be identified in the viewer. This name should be limited to 26 characters. Cookie Data This field can be used to send a Cookie HTTP header. It may be used to plug pages which are user specific. This means you share your cookies with this service, if those cookies are used to authenticate you, personal data might leak to others. Only use this if you know what you do!

Image Options Image Quality Specifies the number of bits-per-pixel to be used for images. The more bits the bigger the document gets. Maximum width Specifies the maximum width, in pixels, of the alternate rendition of an image. (When inline images are too large to be included full-size, they are converted into smaller versions and are linked to larger renditions of the images, called the alternate rendition.) Maximum height Specifies the maximum height, in pixels, of the alternate rendition of an image.
